While HTC is still fresh from releasing its One A9 flagship, fans have already been speculating on when the company will be releasing its follow-up to the One M9. Aside from rumors suggesting that fans may see the One M10 early next year, it is also speculated that it will ship out with Android 6.1 right out of the box.

Although Google has yet to announce a 6.1 update for Android Marshmallow, let alone report a complete rollout of the Android 6.0 platform, Yibada reported that a tipster said that the One M10 is slated to come out with Android 6.1 OS, layered with HTC's own Sense 8 UI.

The industry follower added that the rumor has some truth to it as the One M10 is slated to appear after another HTC device, the rumored One X9, has been unveiled. It is believed that it will be two to three months after the One X9 has been unveiled that HTC plans to launch the One M10, which places the new flagship to have a spring launch.

Aside from Android 6.1, NeuroGadget believes that the One M10 will launch with a 5-inch touch screen. In addition, the One M10 will be a premium flagship, having a new Snapdragon 820 processor and at least 4 GB of RAM. It will also reportedly come out with dual SIM support, with a port doubling as microSD card support for expandable storage of up to 2 TB. To make the One M10 maintain a slim profile, the flagship is also rumored to be adopting wireless charging (but with a massive 3,500-mAh battery) and USB Type-C connectivity.

If the spring launch is proven correct, fans may see the One M10 in March, after HTC unveils the One X9 reportedly as early as next month.
