After a short delay, the HTC One M9 has finally hit the shelves in Taiwan. It was originally planned to come out earlier this week but a software problem reportedly held it off. Good thing the manufacturer was able to resolve the issue (very commendable for its quickness, too), and now, HTC's high-grade flagship is ready to dazzle. 

Both 32 GB and 64 GB variants of the HTC One M9 will be available for consumers in Taiwan. However, buyers can only choose between two colors: Gunmetal Gray and the Silver and Rose Gold, at least for now. The Amber Gold units will not be out until next month, and those eyeing the Pink/Gold flavor will have to wait for HTC to reveal its plans for its release. 

The HTC One M9 with 32 GB memory costs TWD 21,900 (€650 or $700), while 64GB will require TWD 23,900 (€710 or $750). 

Users in the U.S. will be able to see HTC One M9 in the flesh on April 10, the same day the Samsung Galaxy S6 and the Galaxy S6 Edge become available worldwide. However, details about the pricing are still undisclosed. 

Many have been waiting for the release of the HTC One M9 since it was unveiled at the Mobile World Congress earlier this month. The heavy-duty handset comes in an all-metal dual anodized, scratch-resistant coating and a 5-inch display set in 1080p and 441 ppi pixel density. 

It houses a Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 processor and 3 GB RAM, which is enough to run its 20.7-megapixel sapphire glass-coated rear-facing shooter and 4-megapixel selfie snapper. Both allow high definition video recording. 

Its memory is expandable, thanks to a microSD card slot. Last but not least, it packs a 2840 mAh battery that lasts more than a day and juices up to 100 percent in less than an hour. It owes the latter to its Quick Charge 2.0 technology.
