HTC One M9 release date and specs rumors: HTC to introduce powerful device at the MWC?

The Mobile World Congress will bring a lot of next-generation smartphones from tech companies, one of which could be the HTC device that everyone is dying to see, the One M9. An invitation from the firm bearing the line "utopia in progress" typed in bold calls for everyone to join the company "to see what's next," and media outlets could only hope that "next" refers to the long-rumored upgrade of its "One" lineup.

If March will be the month and Barcelona will be the stage for HTC to flaunt the HTC One M9, speculations about its features and specs should be slammed or propped up in two months. Media outlets have been talking about how superior the smartphone will be. The Inquisitr even went all out to say that the iPhone 6 "may find its match" with the future handset.

According to PC Advisor, HTC One M9 will come with a 5-inch Super LCD3 display, with 1080 pixel resolution. In the same report, the site raised the possibility of another version of the device, which is said to get a 5.5-inch Quad HD display with bezels nowhere to be seen. This is supported by The Inquisitr, although the site did not mention if it's a completely separate device as it merely described what the One M9 may pack.

The upcoming device could also have the Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 processor. In detail, the component puts forward an octa-core processor with four Cortex-A57 cores clocked at 2.0 GHz and the other four being Cortex-A53 cores set at 1.5 GHz, all that along with an Adreno 430 GPU. With that much power, HTC is bound to make it ultra thin, 7 mm to be exact. Upleaks, however, says that the device will be at 9.56 mm, adding that it will come in four color variants: Dark Gunmetal, Silver/Gold, Gold, and Dark Gunmetal/Gold.

Moving on, camera capabilities are eye-popping. HTC has a way of beasting up the imaging capabilities of its offerings and it surely won't stop now. PC Advisor claims that there will be a 16-megapixel front-facing shooter. That will take selfies to a whole new level. At the rear could dwell a 20.7-megapixel primary camera, which will enable users to capture videos at 4K (Ultra HD). Its battery is rumored to be a 2840 mAh unit. Expectedly, Android 5.0 Lollipop partnered with the all-new HTC Sense 7.0 will come straight out of the box.

Rumor mills have churned relentlessly that even accessories for the device are now determined. There should be an Active Headset there, a DotView, DecoStand Case, Clear Case, Active Case and a Premium Screen Protector. With this promising package, one could not wait for the Mobile World Congress to transpire.
