HTC and Samsung are two tech companies scheduled to hold their press events ahead of the upcoming Mobile World Congress in March.

Rumor has it that both Asian companies will announce their upcoming flagship smartphones at their respective events on March 1 — the Galaxy S6 by Samsung and the One M9 by HTC. Because of that, the two will surely battle for the attention of media outlets and consumers. Since the Samsung brand and devices are quite popular and are expected to draw crowds, HTC is ramping up its social media presence and has released a series of hints to keep everyone excited.

Based on HTC's tweets, it has adopted the slogan and hashtag #OneLife. One of its tweets includes pictures of the parts of the device asking followers to draw one of three shapes. The three photos are those of the smartphone's rounded corner, a dual flash cutout, and one of the lines from the back of the phone.

Moreover, there is reportedly a minor adjustment in the name of the device. Instead of using the official HTC One (M9), which follows the names of the smartphone's predecessors, the company is adapting the name HTC One M9, dropping the parentheses since reports are pertaining to the handset under the said name.

As for the specs and features, it has been highly speculated that the HTC One M9 will be available in two models, one with a full HD screen resolution and the other with quad HD. The smartphone is said to be powered by Qualcomm's latest Snapdragon 810 processor, while other reports say that another model of the handset sports a MediaTek MT6795 octa-core CPU with 64-bit architecture.

Other rumored features of the HTC One M9 are 5- to 5.5-inch screen display, Adreno 420 graphic chipset, 3 GB of RAM, Android 5.0.1 Lollipop OS with HTC Sense 7 UI, 20.7-megapixel camera and 13-megapixel front-facing camera or an Ultrapixel shooter.

However, the official specs and features of the HTC One M9 are still under wraps and are expected to be revealed at the launch event.
