Getting the Android Lollipop treatment next is the HTC One Max, the sizeable smartphone the Taiwan-based company released two years ago. When it was introduced back in 2013, the handset had Android Jellybean, which is two generations older than Google's current OS. 

Users in parts of Asia and Europe (Taiwan, France, Italy, Poland and Czech Republic) are starting to get the 760.15 MB Android 5.0 Lollipop update. The rollout is being done over the air, which means that One Max owners will have to be patient as it will be released in phases. A notification for the Lollipop download can be expected to pop up at any time. For those who just can't wait to shed the old software for the new one can check the update's availability manually by going to Settings – About phone – Software update – Check now. 

According to GSM Arena, the HTC One Max was supposed to get the Android 5.0 Lollipop update way back in March based on a leaked schedule, but it's either there was a change of plans or the said schedule wasn't accurate. 

Android 5.0 Lollipop is a massive update that brings a slew of bug fixes as well as a new good-looking interface called Material Design, which fills up the 5.9-inch device with vibrant colors and vivid animations. New and improved lockscreen and privacy features are in there as well. 

Settings gets a search function and Recent apps have been added so as to cater to multitasking users. More features and tweaks will show themselves as HTC One Max loyalists navigate through Google's newest firmware. 

With the rollout in full swing and with the update already landing in various regions, it is safe to say that other areas will get it shortly. Customers of carriers in the U.S. such as Verizon, AT&T and Sprint should also be treated to the sweet update soon.
