HTC has yet to confirm the arrival of its next flagship smartphone this 2018, although rumors are rife that the Taiwanese tech manufacturer is about to drop the U12 and U12 Plus in the coming weeks. In fact, a latest batch of photos revealing the design of HTC U12 Plus has been leaked, which show the handset's front and rear shooter featuring dual-lens sensors.

The recent leaked renders of the HTC U12 Plus came from the HTC Taiwan News Facebook page. Per Tech Radar, the design features seen in the photos are consistent with the previous reports describing the 2018 flagship handset. The highlight of the latest leaks is the dual-lens camera on both the front and back portion of the smartphone. It was tipped that the rear-positioned dual camera will be composed of 16-megapixel and 12-megapixel sensors. There are no details regarding the camera lens combination on the front snapper.

The back shot of the HTC U12 Plus leaks shows that the smartphone will sport of rear-facing fingerprint reader. This will make more area for the screen panel on the front display, and the U12 Plus' razor-thin bezels around the display contributes to the handset's all-screen design. Interestingly, HTC seems to be not jumping yet on the the notch display bandwagon, which was a trend first started by Apple with the iPhone X.

According to NDTV, putting the reduced bezels and dual cameras aside, the appearance of the HTC U12 Plus does not stray too far from that of the U11 Plus. Based on the leaked photos, the rumored U12 Plus has some similarities with its predecessor, including the three individual buttons placed on the side, which could be used to turn on the device or control the volume. Another similarity would be the glossy and mirror-like back, as well as the absence of a 3.5mm headphone jack.

Other rumored specs and features of the HTC U12 Plus include a Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 processor with 6GB of RAM. The device is likely to run the latest Android 8.0 Oreo update out of the box and sport a 6-inch Super WQHD LCD panel.
