Huawei has officially announced the latest entry in its Honor smartphone series. The newest flagship handset, Honor V10, boasts a powerful design and inner specs that rival this year's premium phones. In spite of its top-end specs, the Honor V10 is more affordable compared to the previously launched flagship devices from Huawei.

As reported by Android Central, the Huawei Honor V10 is the latest smartphone in 2017 to sport an almost all-screen display with the bezels now slimmer as ever. The handset follows the trend among the premium handsets this year will an 18:9 aspect ratio, thus giving it a tall appearance. The screen has a length of 5.99 inches and boasts up to 2160x1080 resolution.

The Huawei Honor V10 has already been rumored to sport an 18:9 screen-to-body ratio with optimum resolution, which is why many users thought that the smartphone would transfer the home button from the front display to the rear panel. In spite of an immersive screen area, the design still manages to include the home button at the front, which is still embedded with a fingerprint reader. This is good news for most people, as they prefer accessing the home button from the front, according to WCCFTech.

Just like this year's Huawei Mate 10 and Mate 10 Pro flagship phones, the Honor V10 is also powered by the Shenzhen-based tech company's very own Kirin 970 mobile processor. As per The Verge, the Honor V10 has the same high-end performance boost as the latest Huawei Mate devices, thanks to Kirin 970, but Huawei somehow manages to put a cheaper price tag on the Honor V10.

The Huawei Honor V10 is expected to run the latest Android 8.0 Oreo out of the box, along with the latest OS version's compatible EMUI 8. The smartphone will include either 4GB or 6GB RAM, depending on the memory variant. It is packed with a large 3,750mAh battery for longer use. The Honor V10 also boasts a powerful dual-lens rear camera setup, which is a combination of 16MP and 20MP image sensors, as well as a 13MP front-facing camera.

Shortly after the announcement, the Huawei Honor V10 will become available in the Chinese markets for CNY 2,699, equivalent to USD $400. The smartphone will be shipped in red, black, blue, and gold color variants. Huawei has yet to announce the handset's release date in international markets, including the U.S.
