Huawei is said to be readying a new phablet that will take on the current 6-inch flagships on the market, and it may be out soon. The rumored Honor V8 Max has already been seen online.

According to Phone Arena, China-based TENAA has already certified the upcoming flagship. This means that with TENAA certification, the Honor V8 Max is likely to come out soon.

While Huawei has yet to confirm the specs sheet of the upcoming iteration, the listed specs and features on the website spell the Honor V8 Max to be a massive handset. Reportedly, the new addition will launch with a 6.6-inch AMOLED display with 1440 x 2560 resolution. Under the hood, the upcoming Honor V8 Max will have a Kirin 950 chipset, 3GB of RAM and 32GB of expandable storage. Meanwhile, since the handset has a massive display, Huawei will allegedly feature a 4,000-mAh battery. Though it is unconfirmed, it is expected that the Honor V8 Max will come out with Android Marshmallow already on board since the new series addition is a recent release.

Once released, the Honor V8 Max will join other phablets in the 5.5-inch-plus category, since a number of recent lineup releases also have their own phablet versions. Xiaomi already has the Mi Max, while other tech manufacturers came out with the ZenFone 3 Ultra and the Lenovo Phab2 Pro/Plus.

As for the release date, Huawei has yet to come out with one for the Honor V8 Max, although considering that it already passed by the TENAA, the new flagship addition is expected to come out soon. It is unclear, however, if Huawei will choose to go with the Honor V8 Max as one of its main reveals at the rumored pre-IFA event in September as speculations suggest that another rumored flagship, the Huawei Mate 9, will not be appearing this year.
