Smartphone users in the United States will have another great option for the best premium handset. It was announced this week that Huawei's 2017 flagship, Mate 10 Pro, will finally hit the US market in early 2017, which is expected to shake the competition in the country dominated by popular brands such as Apple.

It was reported that the Huawei Mate 10 Pro is officially setting foot in the American territory next year, and the most interesting news of all is that the flagship smartphone will be put on sale by the top US carriers. Huawei President Richard Yu confirmed in an interview that many carrier companies will receive the Mate 10 Pro, although he did not specify which of these carriers will be selling the device.

It was already rumored that the Huawei Mate 10 Pro will be sold by the giant US carriers, Verizon and AT&T. Assuming that this information is correct, it would support Yu's statement that more than one US carrier will get the flagship handset next year. 

The public only has Huawei's official word that the Mate 10 Pro will be shipped to the US in early 2018, but no exact date of release was given, as well as the price. Nevertheless, these details are likely to be revealed at next year's Consumers Electronics Show (CES) in Las Vegas. Yu made a hint that the Huawei Mate 10 Pro will be priced accordingly in order to gain an advantage against the current leading devices in the US, particularly the Galaxy S8 and iPhone X. 

"I think that we can bring value to the carriers and to consumers. Better product, better innovation, better user experience," Yu stated.

According to Tech Radar, the US carriers selling the Huawei Mate 10 Pro will benefit the Shenzhen-based tech firm, as most users in the country purchase their smartphones from a carrier. People are also often attracted by the monthly installment promos offered by carriers, having the hefty price broken down for them.

The Huawei Mate 10 Pro is currently being sold in the UK and Australia for £699 or AUS $1,099. There is also a so-called "International Version" of the handset available on Amazon US for USD $879.
