The Huawei Mate 9 has been rumored to launch for some time, and for a while, it was expected to launch during this year's IFA event. The device will be one of the most powerful smartphones launching in the Chinese market, and new rumors suggest that it will be coming out in two variants this November.

According to Pocket-Lint, Huawei is launching an event this Nov. 3 that will focus on some of their new hardware products. The Huawei Mate 9 is suggested to be one of the main attractions of the event, and the company may finally reveal if the two variants will launch outside of China or if only one of them will be made available internationally.

The phone is expected to come with a design quite similar to the Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge. The phone will reportedly have a curved 2560x1440 display that will make it compatible with Google's Daydream VR headset. PC Advisor lists down that it will come with a 2.6 GHz Octa-Core processor and the Android 7.0 Nougat right out of the box.

One of the two available variants will reportedly feature 64 GB or 128 GB of internal storage alongside 4 GB RAM. The other is stated to come with up to 256 GB of storage space and 6 GB RAM. Both will come with a microSD slot that will allow up to 256 GB worth of additional storage.

According to the report, the variant that comes with 256 GB internal storage and 6 GB RAM may be available solely in China, although this is yet to be confirmed. More details will be released during the Huawei event in November.

The phone will feature a 20 MP dual lens camera on the back, along with an 8 MP front-facing camera, a 3,000 mAh non-removable battery, and a USB Type-C port. It is unclear if the USB Type-C port will completely replace the 3.5mm earphone jack the way it did on the iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus.
