The MediaPad M3 8.0 was unveiled a few months back during the IFA Berlin 2016, and it is now available in the United States for $299. It is one of the many options that one can give away this coming holiday season.

The upcoming slate comes equipped with an 8.4-inch IPS LCD display screen that offers a 2560 x 1600 resolution with 358 ppi pixel density. The display also offers a wide viewing angle, which is up to 80 degrees from all sides. An octa-core Kirin 950 processor from Hi-Silicon that clocks in at 2.3 GHz, 3 GB of DDR3 RAM, a Mali-T880 MP4 GPU and 32 GB of internal storage. It then runs on an Android 6.0 Marshmallow with EMUI 4.1 UI (user interface) on top. It remains unknown if it will receive Android 7.0 Nougat and EMUI 5.0.

Special moments can be captured by its 8 MP fixed focus front and autofocus back cameras. It also supports up to 128 GB of extra storage via a microSD card, A 3.5 mm headphones jack, and a micro-USB port also come along. A generous 5,100 mAh battery will ensure hours of fun and entertainment.

Additionally, the tablet is focused on individuals who love watching movies and listening to music. Aside from its 2K display, it also comes with a pair of Harmon Kardon-certified speakers powered by Huawei's SWS 3.0 technology. The digital audio signal is processed by the Asahi Kasei AK4376 D/A chip and converts it to an analog one. As its website says, "It's like having a Hi-Fi in your pocket."

The Huawei MediaPad M3 8.0 with model number BTV-W09 is now available at Amazon for $299. It will come in the Moonlight Silver color. The new tablet is a U.S. version, so the proper charger will be included in the package, says Android Police. Engadget added that Huawei is also planning to bring its 10.1-inch MediaPad M2 in the country next month, which is now available in Europe.
