Specifications for the Huawei Nova 2S was revealed in a recent event hosted by the Chinese phone manufacturer. The reveal confirmed most of the rumors based on previous leaks for the phone model.

The design of the Huawei Nova 2S was leaked on Dec. 6 in a tweet by Evan Blass. The phone sported an overall bright blue color and a "tall" screen presumed to be in 18:9 aspect ratio. It also followed modern design trends of flagship phones from Samsung and Apple.

The phone's bezels are significantly thin, although it did not quite have an utterly bezel-less design. A home button that doubles as a fingerprint scanner sits on the phone's front panel, with dual cameras at the top part of the panel.

In the event, the phone's display has been confirmed to be in 18:9 aspect ratio. It had a full high-definition resolution of 2160 x 1080 pixels, all fitting in a 6-inch display screen.

The dual front cameras have radically different ratings. One has 20 megapixels with an aperture of f/2.0 while the other has a score of 2 megapixels.

It also has two rear cameras. One is a 16-megapixel full-color camera, and the other has 20 megapixels and is restricted to monochrome.

Buyers have the option to choose between 4 GB or 6 GB of random access memory (RAM). The phone has a storage capacity of either 64 or 128 GB, expandable up to 256 GB via microSD cards. A Kirin 960 processor runs the phone.

Besides the bright blue color revealed in the leak, the phone will also be available in black, grey, red, and rose gold finish.

The initial projected price for the Nova 2S is at around €330 or $392.92. This projection is close to the 2699 yuan sale price that was revealed at the event. In reality, the phone's value is closer to $400.
