The current Huawei flagship smartphone, P10, has only been in the market for a few months, but the reports are now in about the handset's successor. It appears that the Chinese handset maker is now gearing up for the release of Huawei P11, based on the promotional images that were leaked recently. The ad materials for the alleged P10 follow-up show that the device will be packed with cutting-edge camera setup, thanks to the first-ever triple-lens image sensor.

As reported by Phone Arena, the promotional images for Huawei's upcoming mobile device were spotted recently. The photos pertain to a mystery handset called the "Huawei PCE Series," and according to the reliable tech tipster Evan Blass, this device is no other than Huawei P11. The said promo materials were made by one of the company's partner ad agencies, thus giving more credence to their contents.

The rumoured Huawei P11 smartphone is revealed to include a 40-megapixel (MP) triple-lens rear camera and a 24 MP front-facing camera. Another premium camera feature shown in the images is the 5x hybrid zoom, which requires both digital and optical zooming features to get a crystal-clear view of objects from a far distance.

The latest ads for the new Huawei device also indicate that its high-end imaging features are co-engineered by the camera firm, Leica. To note, Leica is the same company that brought the high-quality snappers to the Huawei P10 and Huawei Mate 10 handsets this year.

It has yet to be confirmed, however, how Leica's triple-lens camera setup will compare to the dual camera system, which has become a trend in today's flagship phones. That said, it is safe to assume that the extra lens will offer better results, much like how dual-lens setup outperforms single-lens camera. As per CNET, it is also likely that a triple-lens build is capable to yield sharper pictures. Another impressive camera content for the rumoured Huawei P11 is the Pro night mode, making use of special optical sensors to take photos with "100% more light."

Blass is convinced that the "Huawei PCE Series" device featuring the unique 40MP triple-lens rear camera is actually Huawei P11. However, the creative agency that posted the images already took them down from the company's portfolio.

Huawei has yet to comment regarding Blass's latest scoop for the P11 smartphone. As of now, it is expected that the Huawei P10's successor will make an appearance mid-next year.
