It is expected that Huawei is all geared up for the unveiling of its next flagship smartphone next month. The Chinese telecom company has yet to confirm the all-new design and features of its next-gen P series phone, although Huawei has already provided some hints that the P20 will be the first premium handset in the world to boast a triple-lens camera setup. However, the latest specs leaks of the Huawei P20 spotted on TENAA suggests otherwise, as only a dual camera build is shown.

The Huawei P20 is slated as the iPhone X killer, with rumors that the smartphone will feature a triple-lens rear camera and a notch feature at the front display for its own facial-recognition technology. Although, the latest leaked renders of the alleged Huawei P20 smartphone posted on TENAA show that the device will only have vertically aligned dual camera lenses. There is also no evident notch area similar to the iPhone X at the front view of the smartphone with model number EML-TL00, but its selfie snapper also makes use of a dual-lens setup.

Specifically, the vertical setup of the dual camera in the latest Huawei P20 leak might be designed for the laser autofocus, as well as the dual-LED flash that were all aligned on top of each other. The Huawei logo sits on top of this vertical arrangement, which could mean that the rear camera is better equipped for taking landscape photos.

On the other side of the phone, the Huawei P20 front camera is made of two image sensors that are positioned close to each other at the center. It appears that this front camera setup is not as complicated as the one in the iPhone X, thus a special notch feature will not be required. Following this TENAA listing, there are no doubts if the Huawei P20 would still highlight a triple-lens camera. Interestingly, Huawei recently released a teaser video that further teases the P20's three-lens camera setup.

Aside from the dual-lens build for the rear and front cameras, the Huawei P20 leaked renders on TENAA reveal that the fingerprint scanner below the display panel is not going anywhere, in spite of the rumors that the biometric scanner will be transferred to the rear side to make way for a true all-screen front view. There are also no changes in the position of the power button and volume rocker.

The Huawei P20, together with the other variants, P20 Plus and P20 Lite, is expected to launch at a standalone event in Paris, France on March 27th.
