Huawei's latest P series flagship phone is one of the most anticipated premium devices set to launch early this year. The public will have more options for a high-end smartphone with impressive performance and hardware features in the coming weeks. As for the Shenzhen-based tech firm, the Huawei P20 handset is rumored to appear at a standalone event on March 27, where the company is likely to introduce the first-ever triple-lens camera build.

According to Tech Radar, the online publication has already received a press invitation from Huawei regarding a special unboxing event. The invitation says that the company has something special in store for the participants on March 27, although the specific hardware to be launched during the event is not specified. Nevertheless, tech enthusiasts are already expecting that this press event will be focused on the Huawei P20, given that its predecessor, the Huawei P10, was released almost a year ago.

It is also expected that there will be three variants of the Huawei P20 smartphone arriving this year. Aside from the regular-sized model, the company is set to unveil the larger Huawei P20 Plus and the smaller, budget-friendly Huawei P20 Lite. The press invitations also seem to imply multiple hardware launches happening on March 27, raising the chances of seeing three P20 models next month.

Phone Arena reported that the Huawei P20, P20 Plus, and P20 Plus, in spite of their differences in display size and screen design, will share the same triple-lens camera setup at the rear. According to the latest reports, Huawei's partnership with Lieca for the development of built-in premium cameras on its upcoming flagship devices still holds. In fact, the two companies are trying to set the bar much higher this time by exceeding the dual camera technology. Hence, a triple-lens camera can be expected from the upcoming Huawei P20 devices this year, in which the lenses will be placed in one row next to each other. Huawei P20's triple-lens camera is said to boast up to 40-megapixel (MP) image captures.
