The story of the "girl on fire" is coming to a close, and Katniss Everdeen is ready to fight against the Capitol in the upcoming release, "The Hunger Games: Mockingjay — Part 2."

If the first part of the film adaptation of Suzanne Collins' bestselling dystopian saga aimed to establish the enraged emotions from the Districts toward the Capitol, director Francis Lawrence vowed to make the second part more explosive and action-packed. In an interview with MTV News, Lawrence said that the second part of "Mockingjay" will be more like a war movie compared to the first part.

"It's thematically very different," the director said. "['Mockingjay – Part 1′] was about the manipulation of media and propaganda, and this one is a real war movie. Very quickly, we're getting out from the confines of District 13 and back out into the rest of Panem, including the Capitol. It's a very different kind of landscape."

He also said that the final movie in "The Hunger Games" franchise will offer the perfect closure for the series. It will tie up all the elements from the very first film, leading to the sequel "Catching Fire" until the first part of "Mockingjay." He said that they will not end it with a cliffhanger that would leave fans waiting for another movie.

"You feel it, and there's something satisfying about that. I think it's really emotional and moving," the director added.

Meanwhile, lead actress Jennifer Lawrence earlier expressed her opinion about how her character Katniss should deal with her relationship with her childhood friend Gale Hawthorne, played by her real-life best friend Liam Hemsworth.

In an interview with Flicks and Bits late last year, the Oscar-winning actress said that she wants to see Katniss and Gale's relationship to develop even further. She believes that Katniss and Gale have a wonderful history together that was not explored in the film. She also said that Gale is the only person in the book who truly understands Katniss because they share the same background.

"After the games, she and Peeta had this experience together that no one else, including Gale, could ever understand. She and Gale are in a very interesting place and it was nice to explore more of that and go deeper into that," the actress said.

"The Hunger Games: Mockingjay — Part 2" will debut onscreen on Nov. 20.
