Survival video game "Hunt: Showdown" is finally out on early access. A lot of people are expecting to have a really good gaming rig just to play the game smoothly. However, given that it was the Alpha version on which everyone based their guesses for the requirements, developer Crytek has finally revealed the official specs needed.

For an open-world game that features a lot of textures and details, anyone would have guessed that it would require almost the same specs as "PUBG." This is also given that the Alpha version performed poorly on an already high-gaming rig. Fortunately enough, the revealed minimum specs are not that high.

At the minimum, players would need a 6th Generation Intel i5 @2.7GHz or its AMD equivalent, which is the AMD Ryzen 3 1200. An NVIDIA GeForce GTX 660 TI or an AMD Radeon R9370. They would also need at least an 8 GB of random-access memory (RAM), which is quite big for it to be on the minimum.

On the other hand, for those who want to play on the maximum settings, or at least the recommended specs include also a 6th Generation Intel i5 @ 3.2 GHz or the AMD Ryzen 5 1400 at 12 GB RAM. An NVIDIA GeForce GTX 970 or an AMD Radeon R9 390x with 4 GB dedicated RAM will also be needed.

Note that the specs mentioned may still change in the coming weeks or months. "We will have basic settings and graphics options available at Hunt's Early Access release, but more will be on the way," says the developer, per PC Gamer. "Since we are most likely CPU-bound on most configurations, we're providing these options more for comfort than for performance."

Again, "Hunt: Showdown" is now on early access and PC players can finally get the game via Steam. As the folks behind Crytek mentioned, there will be more optimization updates to be made so those with lower gaming rigs can wait until then.
