HyunA responded to the controversy that erupted about the concept of Triple H's recent music video, "365 FRESH."

The video came under fire for depicting controversial topics, including its sexual theme, as well as drug use, theft, and suicide.

In an interview with Section TV, via All KPop, she said, "The motive behind our music video was 'youth', so we wanted to capture the instability people feel during their youth, but at the same time, show it in the most conservative way we could."

She recognized the fact that not everyone will be able to appreciate what they showed in the music video. However, she stood firm in saying they wanted to present their band in a way that was different from how they previously appeared as. "I don't think everyone can say something is nice. I also wanted to do something different from things I've always done," she said.

Fans of HyunA expressed their dismay over the contents of the video. One fan said, "Sexual stuff aside, did she expect us to think that all the drug abuse, suicide, and crimes in the music video were okay?" in an article on Nate, via Ace Showbiz. Another said, "You're a singer, sing instead of shooting erotic videos." One also said that being idols, what Triple H showed in the music video might be emulated by teens, as the acts were "glamorized" in the music video.

Prior to joining Triple H, HyunA was part of 4Minute and Troublemaker. She said that she chose to become part of a new group, together with Hui and E'Dawn, as a way of trying something new as she enters her 10th year in K-Pop.

Of the band composition, she said "I'm in charge of being a 'girl' in the team. E'Dawn is in charge of being revealing, so I'm afraid I'm gonna lose in sexiness to him."
