Since early this year, there had been rumors that Iggy Azalea has been dating football star Odell Beckham Jr. As the rumors kept swirling, the rapper has broken her silence to shut down the rumors once and for all.

The Australian native went to social media to deal with the topic. She tackled the rumor head on in a lengthy Instagram post, telling people to "stop trying to make me and Odell a thing."

"We weren't dating back in May and we're not dating now!" the musician wrote, setting the record straight.

She also shared that despite her efforts to not be affected, the rumors have taken a toll on her private life. "I try my best to stay quiet and not let the things I see written throw me off," she wrote. "But today this (expletive) is taking a toll on my real, private, life and the people in it I care about in a way that's got me losing sleep."

The rapper has previously denied the rumors during a previous interview with TMZ. "I literally don't even know Odell Beckham, I don't," she said. She explained that the athlete was present during her friend's party and they took a picture with a few other people. "I don't know him. I've not even had a conversation with him," she added.

However, this was not enough to stop publications from releasing stories that say the two are together and are taking things slowly.

Azalea ended her post with a plea to people. "Keep my name out of your fan fiction, Soap opera, bored housewives (expletive)," she wrote. "That (expletive) you say for fun really effects people's real relationships."

For his part, Beckham Jr. does not seem to be affected by all the rumors about himself and Azalea. He remains focused on recovering from his injuries and getting back in shape to help his team. He recently posted a photo of himself in crutches with the caption that said, "I always find a way."
