Apple is about to launch its newest iMac Pro, which the tech giant says is the most powerful Mac ever created.

Following last year's backlash of the lack of powerful gadgets in the Apple department, the tech giant promised to release a new Mac Pro and iMac Pro this year.

First revealed in June, BGR calls the iMac Pro an "absolute screamer," which can be outfitted with up to 18 core Xeon processors. It also has a 5K display, and includes a Radeon Vega GPU, among other high-end specs.

Priced at $4,999, early reviews say the device is worth the luxurious rate for its very capable features.

Tech expert Vincent Laforet was among the first people to try out the gadget, and he has glowing reviews. "Whether you're editing 8K RED video, H.264 4K Drone footage, 6K 3D VR content or 50 Megapixel RAW stills -- you can expect a 200 to 300 percent increase in performance in almost every industry leading software with the iMac Pro," he said.

He added that this is a significant jump, as successors normally increase process speed by 20 to 30 percent, as opposed to iMac Pro's 200 to 300 percent.

For Laforet, it all boils down to the device's speed, and all the other things he could do apart from waiting for applications to launch. "The iMacPRO tears through footage and images, allowing me to spend less time behind a computer, and more time shooting," he concluded.

For a more detailed and visual review, Jonathan Morrison created a video, narrating everything he loves about the new device.

A note to buyers, iMac Pro sports a completely sealed enclosure, which means the specs ordered could not be upgraded at a later time.

The new Apple iMac Pro will hit the shelves on Thursday, Dec. 14.
