Bravo officially announced the return of "Imposters" for season 2.

The network made the surprising announcement during the show's For Your Consideration Emmy panel in Los Angeles on Monday night, in front of the show's unsuspecting cast members just a few days after its first season finale on April 11.

Series co-creator Paul Adelstein broke the news in front of the cast that includes Invar Lavi, Rob Heaps, Marianne Rendón, Parker Young, Brian Benben, and Stephen Bishop, saying: "If we were really willing to do a second season. We can go ahead and do our second season. So is that something we should do?"

Since all of the cast members who were present during the panel seemed enthusiastic about the news, it could mean that all of them are willing to reprise their roles in the upcoming season.

The series centers on the story of a serial con woman named Maddie (Lavi) and her three ditched ex-husbands Ezra Bloom (Heaps), Richard (Young), and Jules (Rendón). The three teamed up in their attempts to make her pay.

NBCUniversal Cable Entertainment president and chief content officer Jeff Wachtel talked about the show's return in a statement, saying: "Adam [Brooks], Paul and our wonderful cast and crew are delivering a mad and merry show that makes us all proud. We're excited that even more people will be able to join the party next season."

On the other hand, NBCUniversal Cable Entertainment president of Lifestyle Networks Frances Berwick praised the dark comedy's unique style of showing humor amidst the twist and turns of the plot. "Imposters has truly resonated with our audience and critics alike with its unique brand of suspense and humor," Berwick stated. "We're excited to see what the future holds for this unlikely band of flawed but lovable characters that our talented creators and actors have fully brought to life."

The network is expected to release the second season of "Imposters" in 2018.
