Very little official word concerning Disney/ Pixar's "The Incredibles 2" have been given but during the D23 Expo in Anaheim, California, Pixar has given fans a reminder that they are indeed working on the title. Along with a few other titles, the animation studio has showcased the film's official poster.

The poster is almost identical to the logo from the first film, except this time there is a thin black line dividing the yellow block in the middle to neatly form the Roman numeral "II." The poster was on display alongside the official posters for "Finding Dory," "The Good Dinosaur," "Toy Story 4," and "Cars 3." The poster was later shared via Twitter

However, Disney did not make any announcements regarding the film's plot or release date, which is still slated for either a late 2017 or summer 2018 release. There are numerous rumors spreading across the Internet on what the film's story will be, given that it has been 11 years and counting since the release of the first film.

As previously reported, there are speculations that Jack-Jack will be the villain. Speculations go that he will now be a teenager and may have something against his father, Mr. Incredible (Craig T. Nelson). Instead of becoming a part of the family's superhero business, he aligns himself with their old enemy Syndrome (Jason Lee).

Jack-Jack was a baby in the first film but right at the ending, he displayed extraordinary powers such as the ability to change form and control numerous elements like fire and electricity.

Brad Bird, who directed the first film, will be returning to write and direct the second entry after doing two live-action flicks, "Mission Impossible: Ghost Protocol" and "Tomorrowland." The director did note back in April that he has just started writing the script so it may be some time before official updates are announced by Bird or Pixar.
