'Infinity War' spoilers: Iron Man's new look revealed

Robert Downey Jr. as Tony Stark a.k.a. Iron ManMarvel

Iron Man (Robert Downey Jr.) looks like he just got an upgrade with more than a shiny new coat of paint in the upcoming "Avengers: Infinity War," as leaked images from the movie reveal the new suit and capabilities of the Avenger.

The latest leaked photo of Avengers: Infinity War" has been circulating in Reddit and shows the new suit of Tony Stark a.k.a. Iron Man with the added bonus of wings and a bionic arm for the superhero. The image was shared by Reddit user realityavengers showing off Dr. Strange, Scarlet Witch, Thanos, Star Lord, Captain America, Thor, Black Widow, Hulk, and of course an upgraded Iron Man.

It also seems the bionic arm cannon checks out, since the Super Bowl trailer for "Avengers: Infinity War" showed Stark with a missing hand in the same spot as the weapon. This means the leaked poster image could be accurate and representative of what everyone included in the art looks like in the movie.

Still, it remains to be seen what the wings are for since Iron Man could already fly using his four repulsors, two in his feet and two in his hands. Though the missing hand might have something to do with this, and perhaps the wings help Stark better traverse zero-gravity environments since Thanos' invasion will be coming from outer space and different dimensions.

The new look from Iron Man in the leaked poster art also seems to have been inspired by the 2015 "Invincible Iron Man" costume that was named as Stark's Model Prime armor. Both suits have the same features and are similar in look. It should be noted that the Model Prime armor in the comic books actually has the ability to incorporate every one of Stark's Iron Man suits into one, at the same time, it could also fold back into a bracelet worn by Stark.

This makes the suit Stark's best yet and his crowning achievement after 40 different versions and variations of the armor since the first "Iron Man" movie back in 2008. The Model Prime armor, or whatever it may be called, will be revealed soon once "Avengers: Infinity War" hits the theaters on May 4.
