The popular superhero fighting game "Injustice 2" has announced the newest character who will be added to the game's roster of powerful fighters. The size-shifting hero, The Atom, is coming to the game very soon.

The Atom is the alter ego of scientist Ryan Choi. He has the ability to change his size using quantum shrinking technology. He utilizes the power of a quantum bio-belt to manipulate his own size and density, and wreak havoc among his enemies.

Game developer NetherRealm has released a trailer showcasing the in-game abilities of The Atom. The trailer begins with the hero in his microscopic size, jumping over bacteria-looking organisms. He then shifts to his normal size and proceeds fighting different heroes like The Flash, Cyborg, and Robin.

In one scene, The Atom dashes toward The Flash, then transforms into the tiny version of himself. This enables him to hit his now giant target with a supercharged punch.

The trailer also shows a combo wherein The Atom, in his tiny version, throws his opponent in the air, then shifts to his normal size to deliver a jumping uppercut, keeping the opponent in midair. Then, he transforms to a giant and punches his opponent into the ground.

The Atom will be part of the third downloadable content (DLC) pack for "Injustice 2." In the previous two DLCs, NetherRealm introduced Hellboy, Raiden, Black Manta, Starfire, Sub-Zero, and Red Hood.

It is not yet clear who will be included in the pack with him, but many fans are speculating that the last two characters would be Spawn and Enchantress. In the silhouette revealed by the game previously, a figure that looks like a woman has what appears to be a crescent tiara on her head.

The game's director, Ed Boon has also went to social media to ask fans for their opinion in a poll, and fans voted that they want to see Spawn.
