"Injustice 2" has just released gameplay footage of its first downloadable content character (DLC) and showing off his collection of moves and weapons. Redhood will come this June and after his proper introduction, he definitely comes as a welcome addition.

While his red mask and sharp tongue makes Redhood seems awfully familiar with a certain Marvel character, that's where the resemblance ends. As pointed out by VG247, he is no joke with his Arkham-esque look and an entire arsenal of goodies dedicated to make bad guys scream in agony.

In line to be Batman's second protégé before being brutally murdered by the Joker, Jason Todd is now back from the dead, thanks the powerful healing waters of the Lazarus Pit. Donning the mantle of the Redhood, he now wreaks havoc to those on the wrong side of the law.

Bearing his signature twin pistols, a knife, grenades and possibly some version of a Batarang, Redhood brings the pain to his opponent. While the gameplay footage shows his large arsenal of weapons, most of his moves involve shooting pot shots at his enemies.

This offers a great opportunity for juggling opponents midair, killing them as they seemingly float helplessly in the air. His choice of weapons makes him a great all-around fighter.

According to CBR, Redhood will be part of the game's Fighter Pack 1. And in a game much darker than its predecessor, his character certainly fits in with the theme.

"Injustice 2" is the follow-up to the 2013 fighting game "Injustice: Gods Among Us" telling the story of Batman dealing with the aftermath of Superman's downfall. As the big black bat tries to revive society, he must face the group only known The Society and the alien Brainiac with the help of his insurgency.

While the fact that it is a fighting game gives little room for story building, the plot does help in setting the mood for its battles. With such an overwhelming force against them, the dark knight has been forced to employ Superman for the greater good. Check out "Injustice 2" now available on the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
