It was only last month that developer NetherRealm Studios announced the "Injustice 2" game. Now, creative director Ed Boon announced on Twitter that two characters will be revealed at the upcoming San Diego Comic-Con.

"Come see our Injustice 2 panel @ SD ComicCon Friday July 22 with 2 more character reveals!" was Boon's message to the fans. Fans can only keep guessing since no hint was given at who will be next.

The panel itself will happen on July 22 from 12:30 p.m. PDT to 1:30 p.m. PDT. Writer Tom Taylor, as well as voice actors George Newbern (Superman), Phil LaMarr (Aquaman) and Laura Bailey (Supergirl), will join Boon. There might also be other surprise guests on the panel to reveal and discuss new features, its customization system and gameplay, the announcement stated.

It also said, "The newest game in development from the award-winning NetherRealm Studios features the largest roster of DC Super Heroes and Super-Villains ever offered, allowing players to build and power up the ultimate version of their favorite DC characters. Battles will take place across arenas that have evolved in scale and span across iconic locations such as Metropolis, Gotham City and Atlantis."

It was previously mentioned that Atrocitus and Supergirl will be the two additional characters for the playable roster, while  Black Manta, the archenemy of Aquaman, is not expected to be mentioned during the announcement.  The character was in the trailer but the gameplay video revealed that he would just be a non-playable character, similar to Darkseid in the first "Injustice" game, The BitBag reported.

There are several speculations on the next characters to be announced for the game, but many are rooting for Wonder Womand and The Flash to be the chosen ones. With regards to the non-DC guest character, nobody knows yet who this might be.

"Injustice 2" will be available for the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One come 2017. No exact date or period has been announced so far.
