Publisher WB Games has released a new trailer for the upcoming sequel to their "Injustice: Gods Among Us" game. It is revealed that two of the confirmed characters for "Injustice 2" are Wonder Woman and Blue Beetle.

In the recent San Diego Comic-Con event, WB Games and developer NetherRealm Studios showcased "Injustice 2," culminating in a new trailer gameplay. While the game already has previous trailer released, the new one is interesting to note, since it confirmed two new additional characters in the roster. The new gameplay trailer shows Gorilla Grodd against Wonder Woman, while the second fight pits the Amazon princess against Blue Beetle.

With the tag "Every fight defines you," the video footage also shows some changes for both fighters, hinting that as with the rest of the characters, Wonder Woman and Blue Beetle can also level up. NetherRealm Studios has hinted that the gameplay for "Injustice 2" may have players grinding, since it will allow the players and character level to develop, unlocking bonuses such as stats and skills upgrade, as well as costume and armor changes.

In relation to new characters, there may be a new reveal in the upcoming weeks. Gamespot has revealed that Ed Boon of NetherRealm Studios has confirmed that a cross-over character, possibly from the studios' "Mortal Kombat' franchise, will make an appearance in "Injustice 2." However, Boon teased that "it likely won't be Scorpion again." Scorpion from "Mortal Kombat" is included in the roster of "Injustice: Gods Among Us," and has been listed as one of the most downloaded characters for the game.

In addition, Boon has also hinted that as with the previous game, a PC port for the upcoming sequel is "likely." Meanwhile, it remains to be seen if the sequel will again be ported on older-gen platforms. The trend among recent releases is that games are only released on the PS4 and Xbox One, while some developers have stopped rolling out updates for recent games with Xbox 360 and PS3 versions.

"Injustice 2" has yet to receive a specific release date, although it is confirmed that it will come out next year.
