After releasing character trailers one after another for the past couple of months, NetherRealm studios finally released a trailer explaining how its already-announced Gear System works in the highly anticipated "Injustice 2."

There is no denying that "Injustice 2" is one of the biggest and highly anticipated games for 2017. As the game is arriving less than a month from now, NetherRealm has been active in teasing gamers of what they can expect from the game.

After spending the past couple of weeks revealing the DC superhero and villain playable characters that will be part of the game, NetherRealm finally released a trailer that explains how its previously announced Gear System works.

To put it simply, the Gear System is an "Injustice 2" feature that allows players customize the outfit of their chosen character. However, apart from creating a custom-made look for a DC superhero or villain, the Gear System, more than anything, is meant to help players up the abilities of their chosen character so they can further advance in the game.

While there is no denying that the Gear System will make "Injustice 2" further riveting, some can't help but worry that "Injustice" newbie players will be dominated by those who may have already mastered the game to a certain extent after playing its predecessor, "Injustice: Gods Among Us." However, NetherRealm Studio saw this coming, hence, it provides solutions to this possible game mismatch.

One of the solutions to avoid a mismatch between characters is to turn off the stats that come with the Gear System, turning the outfit upgrade. However, in the event that players decide to play with the Gear System's stats factored in, NetherRealms will also boost the base stats of the disadvantaged character to make the game a level playing field for opposing players.

"But the gear does not get boosted, so the player who has invested a lot of time in building up the gear for their level 20 character will still have better stats, better abilities than the level one character does. But it won't be to such an extreme that the lower-level character has no chance," said "earlier.

"Injustice 2" is set for launching on May 16 for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
