After releasing trailers that introduced new characters to the upcoming "Injustice 2," NetherRealm has released a new trailer that highlights the moves and power of The Flash in the highly anticipated sequel to "Injustice: Gods Among Us."

While it is already a known fact that The Flash is returning for "Injustice 2" as a playable character, the newly released trailer of his moves and gameplay in the upcoming game offers the fans what to expect from the character once the game arrives.

In the said trailer, The Flash is seen taking on the great gorilla villain Grodd as the superhero's super speed and strength are put on display. Apparently, The Flash's super move feature allows him to travel not only to places but also through time as he is seen bringing Grodd to Egypt and smashes him to a sphinx and, at one point, brings him back to the time of the dinosaurs and beats him up there. Eventually, the trailer ends with The Flash bringing the past version of Grodd and smashing it on his current version, leading to their defeat.

To the uninitiated, Grodd is one of the opponents of The Flash in the comic book version of the character and even in the current live-action series, which features actor Grant Gustin as the scarlet speedster. In fact, The CW series recently devoted a two-part episode that featured The Flash taking on the smart and mind-controlling gorilla after Grodd tricked him and had him stuck on Earth Two.

Meanwhile, although super speed is difficult to execute in video games, there is no denying that NetherRealms did a great job in bringing the said power feature to the game via The Flash, opines Screen Rant. While the studio has not revealed as to how The Flash's super speed is achieved in the game, the online publication suspects that it manifests after a series of quick combo attacks and dodges.

Nonetheless, this can only be confirmed once "Injustice 2" arrives to the PS4, Xbox One, and PC on May 16.
