Two months have passed since Apple released its iOS 10 mobile operating system, and many users have been dreaming of a jailbreak tool for it. Recently, known iOS hacker Luca Todesco revealed an iPhone 7 loaded with iOS 10.1.1 that was jailbroken.

Todesco shared with the world via Twitter, an image of his own smartphone unit that he himself has jailbroken. He did not say much in the post, and nobody knows if he will share his work. It will not be a surprise at all if he does not, similar to his previous work.

Currently, there is no jailbreaking tool for the iOS 10. The last version was released for iOS 9.3.3, which came from Pangu, another hacking group that is active in the community. After this, none was released to the public.

iOS 10.1.1 is the latest and most current version of firmware for its mobile products that includes iPhones, iPod touch, and iPads. It also contains a truckload of security measures that prevents it from being jailbroken. However, Todesco also claims that his latest work is also compatible with iOS 10.1, based on his previous tweet that said, "Updated my stuff so it works on 10.1 too now."

A week ago, another iOS hacker that goes by the handle @ijapija00 also shared his hacking skill by posting a video of his work. He also claims that jailbreaking tool works on iOS 10.1.1 and is stable. Similar to Todesco's work, the device works on a Cydia Substrate and uses a special library to have their tweaks work on the latest firmware.

The jailbreak community is still relying on Pangu to release a working iOS 10.1.1 jailbreak tool. There is also a possibility that another group may release one. Either way, there is no assurance if this will happen or when it will happen.

Meanwhile, Apple has released iOS 10.2 beta 2 to its developer members, which features iPhone 7 wallpapers and the TV app among other updates.
