As users await the iOS 10 jailbreak from China-based jailbreak development team, Pangu, Apple rolls out a new version of its freshly released mobile operating system.

Apple has rolled out the iOS 10.0.1 for the majority of its tablets and smartphones namely the iPhone 5, iPad 2, iPad mini 2, iPad Pro, and the later versions of these devices.

The new update does, among others, block any jailbreak software installed on the said devices. It should also block any future jailbreak attempts, which means the iOS 10 jailbreak from Pangu might not work on it.

Forbes points out that Apple is ramping up its fight against jailbreaking, and this is certainly evident as jailbreak development groups like Pangu and TaiG are finding it harder to break into Apple's iOS rollouts.

This is evident in the previous releases of the Cupertino-based tech company. No iOS 9.2 and 9.3 jailbreak software was released by Pangu and TaiG earlier this year.

The one for the iOS 9.1 did not come in time for many users to take advantage of it as a majority of them updated their software. Apple's move in the iOS 10.0.1 will certainly present the same challenges.

Pangu has been working the iOS 10 jailbreak for a while now. The group announced it last July at the Mobile Security Conference and demonstrated it to the audience.

The software was in good shape, with Cydia successfully passing as a random application. It even goes undetected by Siri, which suggested that Pangu was on the right track.

However, after that announcement and demonstration, Pangu has been largely mum about the iOS10 jailbreak development, making fans worried.

Additionally, Apple is doubling its efforts to make it harder for jailbreakers to break into their software releases.

This could lead to a much longer development of the jailbreak or worse, the iOS 10 jailbreak is facing the risk of not seeing the light of day at all.

The pressure is on for Pangu, especially since Apple will likely release a new version of the software soon.
