Apple unveiled the final version of iOS 10 during the recent iPhone 7 product launching. The company announced that the latest mobile operating system will be released by Sept. 13 to the general public.

iOs 10 is the biggest update to be offered by the Cupertino-based tech giant to its users. It contains a significant amount of changes that users will experience once it is installed on their devices starting next week. The digital assistant Siri has been overhauled to be of service to its users. It can now efficiently perform image searches, write text messages, and even assist in transcribing voice mails.

The new iOS will also allow a smooth copy-and-paste operation from an iPhone to the Mac with its Universal Clipboard feature. Notifications can now be seen on the improved lock-screen, as well as the use of widgets via the 3D Touch feature. Additional functions can now be access even without unlocking the smartphone, The Verge reported.

Users can also hide, many built-in apps, it really cannot be removed. Photos, Phones, Maps, Music, News and Messages apps have all been revamped to be more functional, as well as to offer some more features.

Memories is a new feature in the Photos app, that brings together images from specific time or place, Camera app now supports RAW photos, Control Centre has a new look, Keyboard is now connected to Siri , to improve its predictive capabilities. There are a lot more features available.

Owners of the original iPhone, iPhone 3G, iPhone 3GS, iPhone 4, iPhone 4S, original iPod touch, iPod touch 2nd-gen, iPod touch 3rd-gen, iPod touch 4th-gen, iPod touch 5th-gen, original iPad, iPad 2 and iPad 3 are not suggested to download the iOS 10 to their devices, PC Advisor stated in its report.

To upgrade, users are advised to check out Settings > Genera > Software Update and will be available starting Sept. 13. Further announcement is expected for the exact time that users can start downloading the update from Apple's servers.
