iOS 8.2 features: changes and improvements with new update

Shortly after Apple announced its iOS 8.2 update, the company rolled out its latest addition to the mobile platform to be downloaded and installed on compatible iPhones, iPads, and iPod touch. The latest update adds support for Apple's newly announced Apple Watch, which is scheduled to be officially available on April 24, 2015 for a starting price of $349. Unfortunately, the support is currently only available for iPhone users, and those who are in possession of the iPhone 5 smartphone or higher.

Apple has not yet commented on whether or not additional iOS products will become compatible with the Apple Watch. As for the changes that will be present after users update their existing platforms to the latest one, improvements have been made to the Health app along with a number of bugs being resolved. Details of these improvements have been listed below:

  1. Users can now select the unit of measurement for core vitals such as body temperature, weight, height, distance, and blood glucose
  2. Makes the program more stable when dealing with large amounts of data
  3. Users prevented from adding a photo in the Medical ID can now effortlessly complete the operation
  4. Fixes units for vitamins and minerals
  5. Addresses an issue where some graphics showed no data values
  6. Update adds a privacy setting that allows users to deactivate the tracking of steps, distance, and flights climbed

For users who were plagued with a myriad number of issues, the iOS 8.2 have addressed them too. Details have been given below:

  1. Address an issue in the Maps app where users could not navigate to their favorite locations
  2. Fixes an issue where the last word sent in a text message was not autocorrected
  3. No more issues where concerning some music or playlists not syncing from iTunes to the Music app
  4. Bluetooth calling issues have been fixed where no audio could be heard until the call was answered
  5. Calendar events appearing in GMT have been addressed
  6. Issues where some Calendar events continuously showed as 'busy' have been resolved
