While Apple Inc. is busy preparing for the release of its new mobile operating system, iOS 9, this week, jailbreak fanatics are currently looking forward to the release of the jailbreak for the current iOS 8.4.1. 

The Cupertino-based tech giant released iOS 8.4.1 last month. Its updates came with a feature that fixed the security loopholes that Chinese jailbreak developer TaiG infiltrated to incorporate the previously released iOS 8.4 jailbreak. Apple also made creating an iOS 8.4.1 jailbreak quite impossible. Because of the update, those who wanted to jailbreak their devices after installing iOS 8.4.1 had to go back to iOS 8.4 to be able to continue enjoying the benefits of using a jailbroken device. 

But another jailbreak team managed to get into the stern security system of iOS 8.4.1. This time, it was the team from Pangu that came up with a new jailbreak for the current mobile operating system being used on most Apple products. 

A report posted on the Pangu website revealed the details of the iOS 8.4.1 jailbreak even if the actual jailbreak has not yet been officially released. 

Based on the information given on the jailbreak team's website, Pangu discovered the 0day kernel vulnerabilities in "AppleHDQGasGaugeControl." It is a kernel that is meant to control the battery portion of iOS-operated devices. Earlier, the kernel was patched in the iOS 9 beta that was released for developers, but it can still be accessed using iOS 8.4.1. It means that Pangu could still release the iOS 8.4.1 jailbreak anytime if they want to. 

Pangu also revealed that those who want to jailbreak their iOS 8.4.1-equipped devices can use the version made by Semi Jailbreak team. This is described as an online process which can be easily reversed if needed even when the new iOS 9 comes out.
