For the Apple owners who are making use of jailbroken operating systems — beware. All jailbroken iOS versions could soon come to end and such could happen this coming fall if Apple does release its much talked about iOS 8.4.1.

Seen as likely the last iOS 8 update, iOS 8.4.1 is still categorically in the beta phases, although its release hints at an impending debut of the next OS version, potentially by fall as many believe.

But dealing with the matter at hand, the fact that the beta OS is now available could mean that jailbreaks (TaiG iOS 8.4 and 8.3 jailbreak) will soon be rendered useless.

Until the next couple of months, Apple users could try (at their own risk) to see what the TaiG iOS 8.4 jailbreak was able to cover, although all that may be short-lived if the next OS (iOS 8.4.1) has indeed patched the security flaws that the current versions have.

But do remember that in doing so, you are putting your device at risk. While many would love to see what things they can experience by working around the Apple OS with a jailbreak, risks are also involved.

Would it be wise to do so considering that the jailbreak may be good for only a couple of months? Surely, there will be some who would take the chance, particularly the ones who tinker around or are techies.

The soon-to-be released iOS 8.4.1 is expected to be a lot smaller than the previous releases, but the size should not be used as a gauge to see what the update will be covering. The best assumption right now is that Apple has covered most of the common flaws; although there could be minimal room for possible exploits that may have been overlooked.

Whatever those patches cover may be known in the coming months; and for the ones who intend to check out the jailbreak OS versions, again be reminded that this is all at your own risk. Is it worth using such especially for the next couple of months? The choice is yours to make.
