Although Apple's iOS 8.4 is just a week old, many users who have updated their Apple mobile devices to the latest version already reported numerous glitches and issues. Most of the complaints have cropped up after the update, meaning that the issues are system-related. As with other previous versions of the iOS, the 8.4 version also underwent beta phases to iron out any glitches before its release, but it seems that not all bugs were remedied. 

Installation issue 

One of the most common glitches in the latest iOS 8.4 version starts right at the installation phase. According to some users, the update process gets stuck while downloading the new version and the installation stops abruptly, sometimes freezing the screen. A fix that seems to work involves doing a soft reset on the device, pressing both the Power and Home buttons for at least 10 seconds or until the device restarts. Once the device reboots, users can then jumpstart the update process again. 

Battery life problems 

One of the many complaints about the new iOS version is its bad battery life. While the bulk of it seem system-related and can only be remedied by at least an 8.4.1 update, it can also be temporarily fixed by checking the settings of the device. Some of the features that are automatically turned on, such as the options in the Apple Music and other apps, need to be turned off in order to prolong the battery life. 

Apple Music bug 

One of the updated features of the new iOS version is the incorporation of the iCloud Library in Apple Music. However, some users commented that after updating to iOS 8.4, they encounter an "iCloud Music Library Can't be Enabled" error message. However, since the two separate apps were already integrated, users just need to enable the iCloud Music Library in order to turn on Apple's new music platform.
