iOS 8 Beta 2 download brings fixes to bugs and issues to original

iOS 8 Beta 2 is now available for download for developers over-the-air (OTA) or through Apple's developer portal.

Developers can now download and install the second beta version of iOS 8 to their Apple devices. Developers should have a compatible iPhone, iPod Touch and iPad devices to download the new iOS 8 over-the-air. Registered developers can go to device's Settings > Software Update. However, developers can also download it manually from the developer's portal.

The latest beta version of Apple's new operating system solves the bugs and issues found in the first beta version of iOS 8 released during the WWDC on June 2. It is only natural that the beta version of iOS is full of bugs since it allows Apple to make necessary adjustments for the devices and the apps and to make the official version free from issues.

According to Apple's notes in the Software Development Kit (SDK), the iOS SDK 8 provides support for iOS apps development. It comes with complete Xcode tools, frameworks and compilers required to create apps for OS X and iOS, such as the Instruments analysis tool and Xcode IDE. Thus, this enables developers to develop or configure apps to run smoothly to the latest version of iOS.

Moreover, the iOS Simulator is for testing the apps. SDK 8 needs a Mac computer that runs at least OS X Mavericks (OS X 10.9.3). Developers with devices registered under the Apple Developer Program can install this iOS version. According to reports, if the device is not registered, the iOS 8 Beta 2 may cause instability if the OS is installed without proper authorization.

Some non-developers have installed the new beta version of iOS 8; however, the beta version of Apple's mobile software is intended mainly to developers for them to update their apps and create new apps before the new OS's release in the fall. Moreover, during this time, developers can largely help in finding and determining the software's bugs and their feedback will be sent to Apple. It is not guaranteed that the beta 2 is free from bugs. Thus, non-developers are advised to install back to the latest iOS 7.1, which is Apple's most recent OS version for the public.

It may be hard to fathom how such pettiness plays into the government’s wider crackdown on FoRB and other fundamental human rights, or how on earth it could justify extending its repression to children, but ultimately it all comes down to fear.
