iOS 9.2 jailbreak update: TaiG developing jailbreak tool

After reports began to surface regarding the development of a jailbreak tool for iOS 9.2, new reports say that jailbreaking team TaiG is also busy creating an iOS 9.2 jailbreak tool.

The Chinese jailbreaking team has reportedly made a breakthrough in their jailbreaking development for iOS 9.2, according to TaiG's partner 3K Assistant.

Superphen.co provided an English translation of 3K Assistant's announcement, which reads:

"It has been 8 days since iOS 9.2 has been officially released. In those 8 days, 3K Assistant has been industrious on iOS 9.2 jailbreak. Our effort was rewarded, after 8 days of hard work, 3K Assistant has finally made some breakthrough on iOS 9.2.

Although iOS 9.2 is yet completely jailbroken, I believe in the very near future, iOS 9.2 untethered jailbreak will be presented to all of you. Jailbreakers please be patient in waiting and expecting...

All in all, there will be iOS 9.2 jailbreak tool, it's just a matter of time."

For the longest time, Team TaiG and Team Pangu have been beating each other in coming up with the first jailbreak tool for each iOS update released by Apple Inc. At the moment, Pangu is leading the race, after releasing three jailbreaking tools first for iOS 7.0.6 – iOS 7.1.2, iOS 8 – iOS 8.0.2 and iOS 9 – iOS 9.0.2. TaiG was the first one that released the jailbreak for iOS 8 – iOS 8.4.

Jailbreaking an Apple device means that users can go beyond the feature limitations set by the Cupertino-based company. Users can begin to download third-party apps that are not included on the list of apps offered in the official Apple App Store.

Apple just recently released the seeded  iOS 9.2.1 beta to developers, which means that it might only take a while before the jailbreak teams come up with a tool for the next iOS release.
