iOS 9.2 jailbreak release date: Pangu could be nearing release of new software

Apple Official

The iOS 9.2 update is now available to Apple users, and now, focus is shifting to when jailbreak software might become available.

As it stands right now, there's no jailbreak software available as of yet for the iOS 9.2, but the good news is that it may be coming sooner rather than later.

Thanks to a tweet by EverythingsApplesPro and as reported on by Gotta Be Mobile, people now know that Pangu is supposedly working on an iOS 9.2 jailbreak. Apparently, the only reason for the delay thus far is because the group has been waiting on the full version of the new Apple update to be released so that they can properly address whatever safeguards it may have that could hinder the jailbreak.

Despite the rumors suggesting that Pangu is indeed working on new jailbreak software, there's still a lot of blanks to be filled in terms of its specifics. There's no release date known as of yet for Pangu's work and people don't know what it is even set to feature, so folks will simply have to wait for further developments to get their answers for those questions.

As for TaiG, another known producer of iOS jailbreak software, rumors have yet to emerge suggesting that the group is also working on their own new program, but there may be a reason for that.

According to Latin Post, TaiG and Pangu are known for being very secretive about the work they do. That means that both groups could be deep in the process of creating iOS 9.2 jailbreak and people simply haven't heard about it yet because neither has chosen to speak publicly.

Still, considering how active the two groups have been in the past when it comes to releasing jailbreak software for iOS updates, it's a fair bet that at least one of them is working on something new that could be made available to Apple users very soon.
