For those who are unaware, iOS 9.2 is already available for download on Apple devices such as the iPhone and the iPad. But the question that is surely hounding many is whether the update is safe and well worth it?

Technically, each time there is a new operating system (OS) released, it would be wise to do so since there are security bugs and fixes tied up with it. But in this case, iOS 9.2 seems to come packed with more improved features rather than fixes.

That will be up for debate, of course, but just the same, there doesn't seem to be any violent feedback tied up to it, at least not yet.

Among the enhancements it brings include improvements to Apple Music, iBooks, and Safari leading the list.

For the ones frequenting Apple Music, iOS 9.2 now allows one to easily reconcile the iCloud Music Library with the phone and see if the downloaded tunes are complete or not. Additionally, folks can now download whole albums or playlists as well.

iBooks will now be a lot better, thanks mainly to the support of 3D Touch. The feature allows users to easily browse through content with the help of a pressure push support.

The Mail Drop will also come in handy now. Particularly for the ones who need to send large files, they can do so now for up to 5 GB.

There is also a new USB camera adapter support which should make it easy for users to transfer photos and videos directly from a camera. Other notable features include that of better and stable browsing using Safari, Podcasts, and Siri now coming with support for Arabic.

iPad Pro owners stand to benefit as well with the lag issues reportedly addressed with iOS 9.2. So with a smoother functioning device, it seems like the iOS 9.2 is safe to install with hopefully no issues to be wary off.
