Pangu iOS 9.3.3 jailbreak news: How to fix latest jailbreak tool issues

Pangu rolled out a jailbreak tool for iOS 9.3.3 a few weeks ago, but many got disappointed when performance issues started showing up on their iPhones. Here are some tips on how to fix and undo the damages brought by the latest tool.

Team Pangu has not come up with its own solution for the problem but the developer behind Cydia Impactor, Saurik, has released Cydia Eraser, an app that will erase all traces of Pangu's iOS 9.3.3 jailbreak tool. It is so far the best solution to restore an iPhone to its original state prior to downloading the tool, as well as restoring the original phone settings, for those planning to sell their smartphones.

Valuewalk offered a fix to remedy the black screen of death on affected devices. The first thing to do is a hard reboot by pressing and holding the Power and Home buttons at the same time for 10 seconds. Once the Apple logo appears on the screen, the buttons can be released. This will give access to the device, which can then be restored via iTunes. It is strongly suggested to back up the contents of the device first before proceeding.

WCCFTech reported a solution for boot loop issues brought about by installing the iOS 9.3.3 Pangu jailbreak tool. One needs to start by pressing and holding the Lock and Home buttons until the Apple logo appears. Next is to disable the "Find My iPhone" feature. Passcode should also be disabled for now. Go to the home screen and launch the Pangu app, which will perform a "No Substrate Mode," and pressing the Start button and locking the device will begin the jailbreak process.

By the time a notification from the jailbreak tool pops on the screen, press and hold the Volume Up button until the device restarts and will now be on the "No Substrate Mode." Manually remove the tweaks causing the boot loop. Once it is done, owners can now re-jailbreak their iOS devices via the Pangu app. To initiate, tap the Start button in the Pangu app and lock the device. The jailbreak process will now proceed.

Incidentally, Apple also released iOS 9.3.4 early in the month, which renders the 9.3.3. Pangu jailbreak tool useless.
