Chinese hacking team Pangu has now made the first iOS 9 jailbreak available. That's a whole month after Apple, which is keen on squashing means anyone uses to jailbreak their devices, released the latest version and most advanced version of its mobile operating system.

Those with old and new models of iPhones (from 4s to 6s Plus), iPads (from iPad 2 to iPad Air 2 and iPad mini 4) and iPod Touch (5th and 6th gen) with iOS 9 to iOS 9.2 on board will be able to use it the jailbreak tool.

Users will no longer need to connect their devices to a computer to be able to use the tool because Pangu made it untethered. The software was also fashioned to find a way around the built-in security software Apple created for iOS 9 to thwart any attempts of jailbreaking.

Therefore, downloading Cydia, which allows users to download apps that are not available in the App Store, on an Apple mobile device is easier. It also packs a lot of tweaks and apps users would love for sure.

What makes the iOS 9 attractive is that it has tweaks that make a last-gen iPhone work like the new iPhone 6s. Apple released its latest smartphone with 3D Touch and Live Photos, features that are only exclusive to the units.

Those who want to experience those features without breaking the bank can turn to the Pangu-developed iOS 9 jailbreak. But along this convenience comes a set of caveats that those interested in doing the jailbreak process should be familiar with first.

There's the risk of what Reddit calls a "boot loops of death," which puts the device that is in the midst of a jailbreak process in an ongoing reboot, which can only be stopped by restoring the phone and jailbreaking it again.

Apparently, some of the apps in the iOS 9 jailbreak tool are still raw, which means that they could do some serious damage on the iPhone or the iPad too. Those who have pushed through the jailbreak process but are stuck at 65% progress of the download can check out a guide by IB Times.
