Previous speculations placed Apple to be launching the much-anticipated iPad Air 3 in September last year. However, fans have not seen a new addition to Apple's tablet lineup aside from the new iPad Pro and iPad Mini 4. Recent rumors are now saying that the Cupertino-based company is eyeing an early 2016 launch for the new iPad Air, possibly in March.

According to Apple Insider, a note from KGI Securities analyst Ming-Chi Kuo reiterated previous speculations that Apple plans to launch the iPad Air 3 in March. The industry follower reported that as per Kuo, the March unveiling of the new iPad Air 3 will be followed by an early 2016 release, possibly during the first half of the year.

If the general launch period of the new tablet is proven true, fans might see the iPad Air 3 in stores before June. In addition, an early 2016 launch for the new iPad Air will be the first for Apple. Previous reiterations of the iPad Air were launched late in the year, like the iPad Air 2's October 2014 launch.

Since Apple has yet to comment on this speculation, not much is known about the upcoming iPad Air 3, and even its tech specs remain mere rumors. According to Gadgets by NDTV, the new iPad Air might come out featuring an A9X chipset, at least 2 GB of RAM and improved tech specs. However, a new feature that Apple is integrating into its products will be absent in the new iPad Air 3 as the new addition will reportedly launch without a 3D Touch display.

Meanwhile, other new additions to the Apple lineup are also rumored to appear in March. According to MacRumors, the so-called "March event" by Apple could yield a refreshed Apple Watch (even possibly an Apple Watch 2) and the debut of the rumored 4-inch iPhone.
