Apple, despite the fact that they have products imminently launching, such as the iPhone 7, Apple Watch 2 and some new MacBook products, it seems that the iPad Air 3 has yet to be revealed. As such, a lot of rumors are saying that the device may no longer be included in this tech giant's future plans.

According to the Vine Report, at the beginning of the year, a lot of sources said that the product will have an end-of-the-year release. However, as months pass by, fans are getting apprehensive as Apple has continued its silence about its existence, so it is possible that customers will soon have to deal with the fact that the iPad Air 3 might be shelved for good. However, some reports still insist that it is possible for Apple to offer this device as a cheaper alternative for those who cannot afford the more expensive iPad Pro.

However, it is still clear that the release of this device will be farfetched, regardless of whether it is this year or at all. Actually, the silence about it is so much that currently, there are no leaks, renders or even just fake photos circling around, as common to more hyped up devices such as the iPhone7 or iPad Pro.

Regardless, Ecumenical News reports that if ever the iPad Air 3 will be released, it will most likely have a thinner, lighter body compared to its predecessors. Also, it might have a 7000 series aluminum, the same as those found in the iPhone 6S and its 6S Pro counterpart, and it will be available in four colors: rose gold, space gray, silver and gold.

As for its hardware specs, it is rumored to have an A9X chip as well as a rear-facing LED flash. However, the device might not have the 3D Touch feature the recent iterations of the iPhone currently have.
