There is still a huge chance to see the release of the iPad Air 3 in the market despite the recent release of the new iPad Pro device, which is believed to be the game changer of the entire tablet line from Apple Inc.

According to a recent report from Yibada, the tech firm based in Cupertino, CA is still testing the waters for the larger version of the iPad since it only ordered 2.5 million units of iPad Pro for the fourth quarter of the year. This is significantly lower compared to the 12.3 million iPad units sold in Q4 last year, and even lower compared to the 14.1 million units sold in the same period in 2013. The report also mentioned that Apple Inc. also ordered fewer iPad Pro units for the Q1 of 2016.

This could possibly mean that the tech firm is still trying to find out if consumers will embrace the recently launched bigger iPad product.

If the alleged iPad Air 3 will be unveiled, the device is expected to come with a 9.7 inch screen panel with 4096 x 2160 pixels and will feature the high-end 4K screen display and 3D touch technology for better viewing experience.

The device will also either have the latest A9X processor just like the iPad Pro, or it could come out with an even faster A10 chip which, could also be introduced in the coming year.

The next ultra-thin iPad Air line is also rumored to be equipped with an 8-MP iSight camera and a 2-MP front-facing camera for Facetime and selfie shooting.

Meanwhile, the rumored price drop off for iPad Air 2, which will slash off at least $100 on the device during this year's Black Friday sale according to Tampa Bay Review, could also signify that the next-generation iPad Air device will be released in the coming days.
