3 Reasons why Apple's iPad Air, iPad Mini 3 release date is in October

iPad Air 2's and iPad Mini 3's release date is reportedly happening in October and although Apple has not announced the official launch date of the devices, there are several reasons that support the claim that the refreshed iPad line is coming next month.

First, Apple already confirmed that iPhone's release date is happening next week. With iPhone 6 taking over the month of September, it is unlikely that the tech giant will introduce the tablet during the same month. This is because of Apple's marketing strategy to prevent two Apple devices from cannibalizing each other. Of course, the company plans for the new iPhone to own the spotlight.

In line with iPhone 6's release date this month, the current iPad Air and iPad Mini with Retina display were released in October last year. If iPhone followed its last year's release date, Apple will most likely repeat its previous launch period to give the iPad line its dedicated attention. This is to maximize the profits from the sales of the iPad tablets.

Lastly, reports claimed that the next generation of iPad Air and iPad Mini Retina headed to production last month in order to make their target release date in the fall. The display components were reportedly finished last month, while the camera and sensors will begin this month. If everything is moving along according to the schedule, iPad will be ready by the end of September or early October to undergo final testing.

The upcoming iPad Air 2 and iPad Mini 3 will pack the same design and form factors of their predecessors. The two will also pack the same screen display with upgraded pixel resolution. The tablets will be powered by the upcoming A8 processor and will run with the new iOS 8. The tablets will also packed the much awaited TouchID fingerprint sensor, upgraded camera at the back and more efficient and longer battery life.
