iPad Mini 4 release date rumors: Is new and improved version of the device coming in the Fall?

With the iPad Mini 4, Apple promises to make amends to its loyal customers, especially after many of them were disappointed with what the iPad Mini 3 had to offer.

Though there is no official word on what enhancements the iPad Mini 4 will bring, the word going around is that it will be thinner and filled with features that should hopefully more than make up for the shortcomings of the iPad Mini 3.

Leading the list of reportedly new features include that of a single row of speaker holes, longer battery life and larger storage. Regarding design, the iPad Mini 4 will reportedly look like the iPad Air 2.

The iPad Mini 4 could have an A9 or A9X processor together with a possible co-processor, M9. The processor will be supported by 2GB of RAM and will run on iOS 9, which should make it more handy for multi-tasking customers.

It will tote a 7.9-inch screen and bank on the latest Touch ID technology that Apple is using together with Apple Pay support that should account for the security features the device will be offering.

Further features suggest that the iPad Mini 4 will feature a silicon case and take out the mute/orientation switch but will replace this with a microphone.

Reliable tipster @OnLeaks bares how the iPad Mini 4 will look like in a video. It will apparently be encased in an aluminum shell and look like the iPad Air 2.

Though the official release has yet to be announced, it is believed that the device will be out by the Fall alongside the iPad 3 and the iPad Pro.

With the previous iPad Mini reportedly being pulled out, a possible release of the iPad Mini 4 in the near future is imminent.

An iPad can shoot video, take photos, play music, and perform Internet functions such as web-browsing and email. Other functions such as games, reference, GPS navigation and social networking can be enabled by downloading and installing apps.
