The Apple iPad Pro is now over a year old, and the company has yet to release a new model. Given that the demand for new tablets is not as high as it was a few years back, it isn't a surprise that there is a longer gap between releases. That being said, the iPad Pro 2 is now being rumored to launch in March 2017.

The iPad Pro 2 has not been officially announced, but as pointed out in a report by Tech Radar, there are a few leaks indicating that it is indeed in development. Because the recent 9.7-inch iPad Pro launched in March this year, the iPad Pro 2 is expected to launch during March next year.

Apple is also known for hosting the Worldwide Developer's Conference (WWDC) during March, and this is when the company often unveils some of their new products. This year, the company unveiled the iOS 10 as well as the updates for Watch OS, the 9.7-inch iPad Pro, and other software for Mac.

If the iPad Pro 2 does come out, it is expected to be dust and water resistant, similar to the iPhone 7. Also, like the iPhone 7, it may come with a USB Type-C port, and it may no longer feature the traditional 3.5mm earphone jack, a design choice that many consumers are not too fond of.

The report states that the iPad Pro 2 may come with the powerful A10X processor, the most powerful mobile processor that Apple has utilized for their products to date, and a 4 GB RAM. The iPad Pro 2 may also start with a 32 GB model instead of a 16 GB model, although this has not been confirmed yet.

It is also expected to feature True Tone, a feature that automatically adjusts the color settings of the screen to ensure that it can display the optimal appearance of any image under any type of environment, whether under direct sunlight or in a low-lit room.
