According to reports, the next version of the Apple iPad Pro, which was first launched in September 2015, will soon be unveiled in the coming weeks. It may come out with an entirely different name or simply the rumored iPad Pro 2 title. Next-generation models are expected to have interesting and much better features. The Pro 2 will reportedly come with a better camera. The previous model only has 8-megapixel rear cam and 1.2-megapixel front cam. Most likely, Pro 2 cameras will jump up to 12 and 5 megapixels. It might even be equipped with 4K resolution.

Other reports express that Apple's tablet series might steal the limelight during the Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC) next month instead of highlighting Apple's iPhone anniversary edition. If this is the case, the unveiling of the iPad Pro 2 might just be intended to drumbeat Apple's iPhone 8 launching in the coming months. It is believed that the iPad Pro 2 will be 12.9 inches, while two smaller iPad variants will be in 10.5 and 10 inches.

If Pro 2 features will get major upgrades, many are hoping the device to carry a better processor for improved functionality. Other reports suggest that the new iPad Pro 2 could feature the latest A10X processor and 3D Touch display. However, it is not clear whether the new Pro 2 will run on iOS 10 or iOS 11.

Apple's iPad Pro 2 is expected to be revealed before the third quarter of this year. Most probably, the new device will be introduced during WWDC in June.

Apple has yet to confirm the latest claims; hence, tech enthusiasts should treat the reports as speculation until proven otherwise.

It is expected that Apple will publish an official statement in the coming weeks.
