Rumors about the next-generation iPad Pro have started to pick up in the past few weeks, noting that Apple's premium tablet follow-up is likely to adapt the features of the latest flagship handset, iPhone X. If this turns out to be correct, the iPad Pro 3 2018 version will have a bezel-less appearance and an almost all-screen display. In light of these speculations, a visual artist made a concept image, showing what the brand-new iPad Pro would look like with reduced bezels, as well as the absence of a home button.

Benjamin Geskin, known for creating visualized renders of still unreleased devices, has shared his own take of the iPad Pro 3 2018. Geskin based the appearance of the all-new iPad on the latest predictions. The concept image highlights the iPad Pro's massive screen, plus the extremely thin bezels are made more symmetrical and notch-free, giving the slick design for the display.

There is mixed reception among the users upon the removal of the home button from the new iPhone mode, but looking at the iPad Pro 3 2018 concept render, a home button-free tablet looks just as great. Geskin's latest work garnered positive response, which could mean that the actual bezel-less iPad Pro will be accepted by the public as well.

As predicted by Bloomberg, Apple could release an iPad model in 2018 that ditches the home button, as well as the fingerprint reader that is embedded on it. The slimmer bezels for this new iPad would also give way for a more immersive viewing experience.

The absence of the fingerprint reader in the iPad Pro 3 2018 means that the device will be introducing a new biometric feature. Bloomberg suggests that the iPhone X's 3D full facial recognition technology, or the Face ID, will be replacing the old Touch ID feature in the iPad. Many people actually welcome this change in the iPad as the facial recognition system will be an easier way to unlock the iPad. Authentication of money transactions and sending animated emojis will also be made faster.

To note, KGI Securities resident analyst, Ming Chi-Kuo, already predicted that the new iPads in 2018 will include the Face ID system. However, KGI did not specify if the Touch ID feature will be permanently replaced, which could imply that the iPad Pro 3 will be having both biometric scanners.
